But Im fairly sure at least some inspiration must have been drawn from the high profile cases of cruise shipassaultsand death that have hit the news headlines here in recent years which makes theblasattitude some characters show for other peoples safety (andultimatelytheir death) quite confronting. While Anya can sometimes seem cold and self righteous she is, I think, more emotionally vulnerable in Cold Grave than in previous books, specifically in terms of her relationship with her ex husband and I appreciated the opportunity to gain more insight into her character.
